Alcatel is bringing a unique smartphone, that is compatible with three mobile operating systems, being able to run on Windows OS, Android, or Firefox OS and the choice is yours. This is the third phone in Alcatel’s Pixi series. Earlier versions Pixi (released in 2013) and Pix 2 (released in 2014) were both Android phones.
The new Pixi 3 comes in four variants with a 3.5-inch display 3G model, and three larger versions adding LTE and coming in at 4, 4.5, and 5 inches in size.
“Our users do not want complicated systems — they want something familiar from their work environment in the office, but also on a smartphone” says Alcatel’s Chief Marketing Officer during the press release.
Company believes the PIXI 3 series phones offers the consumers simplicity of use the same system at home, at the office and on the go. The phone presents operating-system choices to its customers.
We need to wait and see how Alcatel will be able to satisfy user experience for each Pixi 3 consumer. The company at least has experience in all the OS, previous Pixi series phones were using Android. POP 2 phone from Alcatel uses Windows OS and the Fire phone from last year used Mozilla’s Firefox OS.
